What information we collect
- Enquiries. If you complete our contact form, request a call, or message us by email or WhatsApp, we collect your name, email address, phone number, the service you are interested in and anything you tell us.
- Technical information. Our web host keeps standard server logs, which include your IP address, browser type and the pages requested. We use them for security and to keep the site running.
- Calculators and checklists. The figures you enter into our calculators and checklists are processed in your browser. They are not sent to us or stored.
This website does not use advertising or analytics cookies. If that changes, we will update this page and ask for your consent where the law requires it.
Fonts and external services
This website loads its fonts from Google Fonts. When a page loads, your browser requests the font files from Google, which receives your IP address. Links to GOV.UK, Instagram and WhatsApp take you to their sites, which have their own privacy policies.
How and why we use your information
- To reply to your enquiry and take steps at your request before entering a contract. Our lawful basis is our legitimate interests and, where relevant, steps prior to a contract.
- To provide our services to you if you become a client. Our lawful basis is performance of a contract. Client information is handled under our engagement letter and our professional obligations.
- To meet legal obligations, including anti-money laundering checks and record-keeping rules, and to deal with HMRC on your behalf where you have authorised us.
- To send you updates or marketing, only if you have asked for them. You can withdraw consent at any time.
Who we share it with
We do not sell your information. We share it only where needed: with providers who host our website, email and messaging (including Meta for WhatsApp), with HMRC and other authorities where you have authorised us or the law requires it, and with professional advisers or regulators. Where a provider is based outside the UK, we rely on appropriate safeguards.
How long we keep it
Enquiries that do not lead to us working together are kept for up to 12 months. Client records are kept for as long as the law and our professional rules require, which is usually at least five to six years after our work ends.
